Behind the Lens: The Quirky Path of Neha's Media Journey
Hello, fellow humans! I am your not-so-average-girl named NEHA ASHOK RAJ. I am the kind of person who leaves people’s faces appalled after telling them the subjects I’ve decided to pursue: English, Sociology, Global Perspectives, and Media Studies. It’s surprising how I’ve changed my focus from science to commerce to humanities.
I've always wondered what my future career might be. Then, I had an epiphany. Since I was young, I’ve always been intrigued by editing. I still remember the first edit I made using my mother’s phone. At that time, I wanted to become a YouTuber, creating gaming content, especially editing and posting it. Since it was so long ago and I’ve matured (compared to the past), I realized there’s more to editing than I initially thought. Heck, it’s a workout for those who lack patience and tolerance, and that’s something that still tests me to this very day.
I am not a professional photographer or videographer, but I guarantee that I’m pretty good at it. My photography skills have improved by taking snaps of the beautiful evening sky. I have thousands of them stored, all looking the same, yet I don’t have the heart to delete any. As for my hobbies, I enjoy anything that helps me feel calm, composed, and at peace, such as listening to music. I don’t have a particular hobby. Believe me, my patience is thinner than a sheet!
Mainly, you could say I’m a professional procrastinator—the type of girl who does everything at the last minute. I love spending time with my friends and family. I’m not particularly sporty, but I enjoy playing badminton with my friends, talking about cars with my father, testing my mother’s patience whenever I can, and endlessly scrolling through social media.
So now you know the quirky and imperfect Neha. But I can guarantee that when I put my mind and heart into something, the outcome will be outstanding. The journey of Media Studies has begun, and the project is waiting!
Neha, this is a great start! Your passion for editing and media shines through in your writing. Looking forward to seeing how your journey unfolds—keep exploring and creating!
